What Size Companies do you work with
We normally provide IT support for small to medium sized companies with between 2 and 200 computers, However from time to time we also carry out projects for larger companies such as Littlewoods Home Shopping, Camelot National Lottery, Cadburys and the Blackpool Council

Our Preston and Blackpool locations enables us to respond to business computer system and PC problems quickly, for companies across Preston, Blackpool, Lancashire, Manchester and throughout the North West. We offer IT support, Server support, computer system maintenance and network solutions to companies in and around: Preston, Blackpool, Lytham St. Annes, Manchester, Leyland, Chorley, Southport, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Wigan, Accrington and Lancaster.

Can you advise us on which systems would suit our needs
Technology is constantly changing and this can be daunting for customers. Syscom have been in business for over 15 years constantly updating their solutions as new technolgy becomes available. We are therefore able to advise on the latest products which offer the best in the market and are value for money.
We have been experiencing problems with our currrent network, can you resolve these issues and provide a report on the way forward.
After the free initial consultation, Syscom will provide a quotation on resolving your most pressing issues. Upon agreement of this quote our engineers will be despatched to reolve these problems. Meanwhile a report will be written to provide a full solution on the items discussed during the initial consultation
Our company is expanding and we need to take this into account when purchasing a new network
Syscom can provide Microsoft Windows Small Business Servers which will support clients from 5 users upto 75 users. if a customer is already larger than this or fully expects to quickly expand beyond this then Microsoft Windows Server Standard will easily support hundreds of users.
Anti Spam, Anti Virus & Intrusion Protection
Are you able to provide adequate security and esnure protection of our data and systems
We ensure all avenues of attack are closed off and this includes viruses from pen drives and cdroms to viruses through emails. Our firewalls keep Malware and Spyware at bay whilst our intrusion protection solution ensures only authorised personnel gain access to your servers.
What Backup system should we employ
Backup solutions are going through major changes currently and various solutions exist. Syscom can discuss the merits of each type whether they be online, USB Disk or Tape drive and together we can reach the solution that is right for your company.
I have staff working remotely from homes and satelite offices, even wanting to check their emails from wireless hotspots.
No matter what size system we will be putting in place you will have the benefits of being able to securely access emails, calendars, contacts files and documents. If neccessary we can even provide access to your own desktop pc so that you are able to work as if you are still in the office.
Do you provide support for mobile devices
We will ensure your Mobile Phones, laptops and Ipads are synced with your emails, calendars and contacts so that you will not miss an important engagement or email no matter where you are.
We are unsure on the current status of our licensing agreements
If requested we will carry out a software licencesing review and inform you of any additional licences that are needed. Software such as Windows Server and Antivirus licences are prerequisites for us to take on a maintenance contract as without them we are unable to rebuild your system should it become corrupted.

Network Support
Can Syscom effectively become our virtual IT department
This is what Syscom is all about, We are already the support department for clients from 2 user to 200 users. Providing a valued consultancy and support services. We have a bespoke Job logging system with which clients are able to log their own jobs and keep track of where that job is upto. Or if they prefer thay can ask us to log the job via phone or email. We respond with an onsite visit, telephone help or remote login.
What does a computer maintenance contract cover
We will replace parts and provide free labour on any of the equipment in the agreed maintenance contract list. There are no limits to the number of callouts and the times of our cover are normally between 9am - 5pm Mondays to Fridays except bank Holidays although we can provide emergency cover outside these hours if required. Our response times vary from a few minutes to a few hours. Our contracts put an upper limit regarding response times to either 4 hours or 8 hours depending on the customer requirements
My insurance company wish to know what disaster recovery we have in place in terms of how quickly we can get back up and running in the event of a disaster. Will you provide support in the event of a fire or theft
We can help write a disaster recovery plan which will have all the steps in place to provide you with new servers software and systems, emails and internet access. We will replace systems as quickly as you can provide us with premises to install the equipment in.

Talk to Syscom first, perhaps all you need is an unbiased professional software audit from a company who knows the day to day issues of running a small/medium company have daily problems far greater than worrying about software licencing.
Finance & IT Support Contracts
Can we pay for our Computer Network Support in installments?
Yes. We give you the option to pay for our Computer Network Support Contract and IT solution service annually or by monthly Direct Debit.
Can we pay for our new servers, software, systems and labour by finance
We will provide you with a competitive finance agreement on a 2 or 3 year Lease finance deal. We also recommend comparing this with your bank to see which offers the best of terms.
